I’m excited to be talking more about the stories behind the stories at Dooly County Library on Monday, March 27, at 4:00 PM. The event is sponsored by Vienna Woman’s Club, one of the best clubs in the state. Open to the public.

I’ll be speaking at Camellia House on Friday, March 17, the topic The Stories Behind the Stories. Come and hear about the story behind “Samuel’s Wife” and “Sleeping on Paul’s Mattress.” Light hors d’oeuvres and wine.

I’ve had no time to update the news. The Decatur Book Festival was a great success. I met many people, sold numerous books, and enjoyed all the special events.

DOGWOOD BLUES was nominated for a 2015 Georgia Author of the Year Award for First Novel.

Samuel’s Wife, a short story published byThe Broadkill Review, was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in Fiction.

I’ve spoken to twelve book clubs about Dogwood Blues.

Erica Gerald Mason and I discussed Creating a Sense of Place on a panel at the Allatoona Book Festival.

At the Chattahoochee Writers Conference, I enjoyed leading a class on The Archaeology of Memoir.
